Week 5: Growing and Engaging a Community · Lesson 6 of 7

Focus: Building a community around your mission or business.

Welcome to Week 5 of the full stack business builder accelerator where we turn average business builders into full stack business builders!

This week, we’re diving into one of the most powerful aspects of building a successful business: growing and engaging a community.

Remember, communities come from content. They do not emerge randomly around you or anyone. Content is the gateway to community support and business growth!

A strong community doesn’t just support your business—it amplifies it.

When you build a community, you’re creating something bigger than yourself. You’re bringing people together around a shared purpose, and that’s where real impact happens.

Here’s what you need to know about building a community:
It starts with trust and grows with engagement.

How do we get growth and engagement? - Eyeballs. Eyeballs. Eyeballs. You can pay for this if you’re already in a positive cash-flow business that can expand into these types of costs… or you can become a full stack business builder and create media yourself. People rally around people. You want to be that person people rally around. Therefore, you must be out there in video form.

Let’s break this into three steps:

  1. Define your purpose: What is your community about, and why should people join your journey?
  2. Start small: You don’t need thousands of people to make an impact—focus on building meaningful connections with your first few members. Remember, there are almost infinite customers for you out there in the world. They need to just hear about you.
  3. Engage consistently: Show up, listen, and create spaces for your community to connect with each other. This is what the full stack business builder community is all about!

Think about this:

  • What value can you offer your community?
  • How can you make them feel seen, heard, and supported?

This week, your homework is to:

  1. Define the people you want or desire in your network and community and create a video of yourself explaining it all.

    • What’s the mission of your community?
    • Who is it for?
    • What value will it provide?
  2. Map out your engagement plan.

    • Identify one way you can start engaging your people community this week.
    • It could be hosting a small Q&A, creating a group chat, or posting regularly in an online forum.

The key is to start simple and build from there.

Remember: Communities aren’t built overnight.

It takes time, consistency, and a genuine desire to serve.

Start small, stay committed, and watch how people will find you, want to support you, and even maybe help you build your dreams.

Finally, a small long-term value tip. We here in the full stack business builder community WANT TO HELP YOU. We’re actively building a network of business builders that can help you reach your milestone, business goal, or start your company. Let’s just say those who fully apply themselves to the Accelerator Program will have completed all of the requisite requirements to market you for opportunities.

TL;DR - Do the work, rise to the top. I look forward to seeing your videos in the community!
