Welcome to Week 6 of the Advanced Accelerator Program!
We’ve covered so much over the past five weeks. Now, let’s focus on two things that will help you grow both as a leader and as a business owner: personal development and automation.
Here’s why this matters:
To build a successful business, you need to take care of two things:
- Yourself. A healthy, focused leader is a strong leader.
- Your systems. Streamlining repetitive tasks frees you up to focus on what really matters.
Let’s start with personal development:
- Self-awareness: Understand your strengths and weaknesses as a leader.
- Stress management: Build habits that help you stay calm and focused under pressure.
- Continuous learning: Never stop investing in your growth—read, take courses, and seek mentorship.
Now, let’s talk about automation:
- Identify bottlenecks: What tasks are taking up too much of your time?
- Choose the right tools: Use software to automate things like email, scheduling, and customer follow-ups.
- Delegate: If a task can’t be automated, delegate it to someone else.
The combination of personal growth and optimized systems will set you up for long-term success.
This week, your homework is to:
What Part of the Full Stack of Business do I need to improve in and can improve in?
- Identify 2 skills or even habits you want to develop over the next 3 months.
- Write down one specific action you’ll take to get started.
Automate one task in your business.
- Choose something repetitive, like scheduling social media posts or sending follow-up emails.
- Set up a tool or process to handle it for you.
- Here’s one that I have been doing for over a decade: Scheduling social media posts. Here’s a quote I live by: “Impatient with action. Patient with outcomes.” - I have ideas come to me all the time. I immediately jot it down on a tweet or a post. I don’t have to send it now. I’ll schedule it for later. This allows me to fill in gaps with things that come to my head on social media.
- Here’s another - Email Templates - You’re going to be responding to 1000s of people. Time to make templates of responses. The best part is you just have to tweak a few things here and there to contextualize it and personalize it to your audience. I have to do this a lot as an investor. The same questions come in all the time.
Congratulations—you’ve made it through the Advanced Accelerator Program!
You’ve clarified your user personas that you’re going to make money from, deepened your market understanding, executed consistently (or re-invigorated to do so), tested your product or narrative, built connections, and optimized yourself and your business.
This is just the beginning of what you can accomplish.
Keep pushing forward, stay focused, and remember: You’re capable of building something extraordinary.
